Reboot Juice Diet or Body by Vi?

I am tired of saying I am going to get back to this lifestyle and continuously failing to do so.

Life is hard, things happen, get over it.

I decided in June that I was going to get back on the right track, and that I wanted to quit smoking too. So I chose smoking first.

I have been cigarette free for 58 days, 4 hours, 35 minutes. I have avoided 1,745 cigarettes! That's a helluva lot! The good news is simple: I have that under control and is no longer an issue.

So onto the next part:
Ready to get back into a gym, I've moved so I need to find a new one. I have Golds Gym and a YMCA, both about the same distance from where I live, and I will go investigate the prices this week.

Now I need YOUR oppinions on the next one. I just watched "Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead" and was blown away by the sheer volumes of weight lost with juicing. I have also heard Body by Vi is good too. I want some kind of liquid diet to get me back into a routine, then get back to the same diet I was on before. I don't have any extra money to really spend on a juicer, but I would be willing to make it work.

Soooo. Which is it? Juice for 30 to 60 days or do a 30 day Body by Vi?

Thanks

What Better Motivation, Knowing you Motivated!?

This is one of those times where you suddenly feel like a million dollars.

I didn't make my sister get in the gym. I didn't make her decide to change her life. But somehow, without knowing it, I inspired her to be a better person. It's something PARENTS yearn to do, but often fall short of. However, knowing I didn't just inspire some person, but my sister, is definitely a heart felt compliment that comes at such a perfect time.

It's times like this, where one can be reminded that they are doing it right. That they are living the best life they can, and are making moves towards goals and achievements. My sister and I were cursed with the family genes of being fat. Our entire family is over weight, and most are obese. It's not me judging them, but it IS the truth. It's our genetics. Rhiannon is doing what I have been working to do, and she has done it faster, and that is to prove the genetic and family codes wrong.

My sister was the skinniest girl when we were young. I was ALWAYS the fat one, but it wasnt until she became a teenager that she actually got big. The gene crept on her slow. And she, at 21, has finally done what I, and most of my family has failed to do: Be thin.

I am so proud of her and what she has done, and in motivating her and seeing this, I become more motivated in my own goals.

Now if only I could marry a chick in the military and get all my meals sent to me :-P

With love and respect and determination,

The Good, The Bad, and the Hungry!

The good news; I have already lost 5 pounds in the first week back to my dieting and stuff. I cant scoff at almost a pound a day, and I know its gonna fall off much quicker this time around, since I have retained most of my muscle memory.

I have a potential new job. Waiting on all of the back ground checks, ect. With the new job, it will include a LOT of walking, which is a nice addition, since for the past 5 years my job has been mostly low-moving.

Being back in the gym feels great, eating better fells great, except that I am ALWAYS hungry :/ Its going to be a tough few weeks while my stomach re-shrinks to be ok with such small meals such as the packets of tuna, or what have you.

The truth is, yeh i lost 5 lbs this week, but I could have lost more. I could have worked harder, I could have burned more.

And I will!

Since my last post, I went on a I Used to Be Fat binge. I had never really seen that show, but I watched A LOT of it the past week or so. To see kids who have horrible work ethics and complaining problems achieve significant weight loss makes it that much more simple, in my mind, to me....

And jealous at the same time.

Kids losing 100+lbs in 90 days! I mean, really? This kid Jose from this past season lost 116lbs in 90 days. It makes me wish I had the 6-8 hours a day to work out with no work responsibility like them. But since I don't, I understand that that amount of weight loss is unrealistic in such a small time frame for me.

But it doesnt mean I wont achieve it!

Here's to all of you with goals, let's get it done this year!

And until that day, im still going to be hungry!

Complacency

The art of what happened to me.

When you hear " man, you look great" and "wow, youve lost weight" everyday, it doesnt just boost your confidence, it makes you complacent.

Ive decided that that is what caused me to fall off in the first place. Being complacent made me lazy, and therefore, uninterested in working out.

The past two days back in the gym have made me feel sooo much better about myself. I know I can do it, DUH, i lost 80 lbs last year.

And that's, as they say, WHATS UP.

Tilapia instead of chicken this time around, lets see how much of a difference that makes, other than that, diet is about the same ( minus the wrap portion of the wraps, just gonna eat some turkey and cheese for meals 2 and 4).

I am ashamed. But I have to admit what I fattened back up to, since it is the only thing that will keep me focused, knowing that you all know how bad I am.

Yesterday I weighed 337. :/ Ballooned back up to an inexcusable amount. And I'm tired of it.

2 days back in the gym. And the habit is being recreated. And I love it.

Lets get it done this year!

Re-Motivation: Found

Ive been slack. I admit it.

The past few months have been troublesome diet wise. I can make excuses like what happened with the job, or countless other things. But the truth is, I gave up. It was all me. When I was saying the stress was keeping me out of the gym, I was forgetting that the gym is a reliever of said stress. Ive allowed myself to get into a horrible sleeping schedule again (going to bed at 4am or so and waking up between noon and 1) and ive been just plain lazy. For like the past 5-6 months. And im disgusted by it.

Whats the damage? Well aside from being able to eat only Ramen and cheap fast food (having been on an EXTREMELY low budget) I have at least kept to my no soda or sugars rules. I drink hella water and coffee and unsweet tea w/ Splenda. And having not gone to the gym in like 4-5 months, has been horrible.

I expected to get on the scale and weight like 350 again. I feel like it. But i dont. 321 actually. Which is about 30lbs that ive gained in these months of higher sodium and fat, and no working out.

It could be worse right? WRONG. thats another excuse. Any weight gain is bad.

Can it be fixed? Of course it can! And quickly. Being that it was a lot of sodium in my diet, I beliebe i can shed most, if not all, of it in a months time with strict diet and water again. I think alot of it is water retention. And i can fix this and get back on track.

Ive been telling myself for 2-3 weeks now, that it is time to get back to it, finish the race I started, with all of you as witness. Losing 80lbs in those 6-7 months was no joke. I did it. But what do I have to show for it now? Now where I sit im only 50lbs lighter then when I started. Granted, im still smaller than I was at the beginning, but im bigger then I was earlier this year. And thats unnacceptable.

1) Motivation
2) Education
3) Determination
4) Vissualization
5) TRANSFORMATION.

I cannot forget these things.

Anyways, I have new motivation that I believe will help me, and thats helping someone else! I have been talking to someone today, code named JB, who wants to lose 20 pounds and get kinda ripped. And I told her I can help her with that, and I can. Im educated in it, I know what needs to be done, now I just have to DO IT.

I believe helping her will get me back where I was and then some. I told her we can get most of the 20lbs she wants off, in 1 month, and then within another month have her abs showing and defined. And we can. How much can I lose in that amount of time?

Id say 30-40lbs. I think i can be back at 290 or lower in the 2 months it will take for her abs to show.

So lets do it. By March 1st, I will be at 290 or below. And thats that.

DONE SON.

Now its time to wake up tomorrow and start over.
I think this schedule will work best for me with the new job
9am Wake up/ breakfast essential (meal 1)
930-10am take preworkout
10-1030 go to gym
1130-12( or when im done) leave gym, protein shake (meal 2)
2PM meal 3
4pm meal 4
6pm meal 5
8pm meal 6
peanut butter before bed by midnight-1am

This way i can still do my outlined diet, ill just have to take meals 4,5,6 with me to work.
meal 1 breakfast essentials
meal 2 protein shake
meal 3 half wrap
meal 4 chiken lunch
meal 5 half wrap
meal 6 beef dinner

Sounds like a winner! Lets get this done!

And JB: Im rooting for you! :-)

Yours in the Journey
Freeze

PS I will be establishing my 5 dollars per pound savings account as well. If i didnt outline this before: Basically every pound i put 5 bucks in an account so I have money for a new wardrobe when im done. Im down 50 so i need to get 250 into that account to start it (might take alittle while) then 5 more per pound after that. If i get to my goal weight of 200-220 that will be 750-850 for new clothes :)

Been a WHILE! But its all good

As some of my previous blogs discussed, I had been having alot of stuff going on that was keeping me from staying extra focused. Was unable to buy groceries and some other stuff. But finally I took a deep breath and decided to press back on.

a week ago i got on the scale to see 298.. I had gained 8lbs back in the course of 2 months. I was content that it wasnt a hella lot more than that, but I was still dissatisfied.

So I pushed my self and got back into the gym, and a week later, im back to 290. So i was able to lose all that I had gained, and now its time to press forward.

I didnt hit my 270 by august goal, but realistically I didnt start until Feb/March of this year, so for what I did since then, im pleased.

The goal is 40 more by the end of the year. im at 290, so my hopes are to be at 250 by then end of 2011!

Lets push forward, and continue on the path to a new, better me! And you yourself, readers, who are making changes in their lives. Its ok to fall off the horse, as long as you jump the hell back on and keep pushing!
