Just a side by side for Then and Now

Here is a side by side!

A photo comparison of Holiday Value

This was me Christmas of LAST year (not this past, but the one before.) This is a guy wearing a 54 waist in pants, 4x shirt/sweater, and a neck so big that I had to drive to Burlington Coat Factory to get shirts that I could button up. This guy thought he was happy, but knew he was unhealthy. This guy decided that one day, soon, he would start on a journey to get rid of it all.

That Journey has just begun.

This month hasnt been the best, trust me. Ive definitely struggled, but not soooo much with the excersiing (i havenet missed but maybe 2-3 days all month) but more with the diet. And it is partially to blame on getting to a point earlier in the month where I didnt have the finances to afford to go get groceries, that joined with other things caused me to slip on my diet. Not into full fledged grubbing, but into alternative, not as healthy, means. Needless to say Ive got a week to burn some heavy calories for my May 1st weigh in, but as of 2 days ago I was weighing in at 308. A loss is a loss, and I cant be too upset with that. With the lack of dieting discipline, I was still able to lose 3 lbs and not gain anything, and that in itself is something to be happy about. I have a week.

I want to be UNDER 300 on May 1st. So that I can say I really am lighter than I was in highschool. 1 week. 8 lbs at about 3500 calories per pound. Thats 28000 calories I have to burn. its going to take alot of hard work, motivation, and determination. Tomorrow morning im waking up, hitting walmart, and getting the groceries I need for my plan. And starting tomorrow I am going back onto it full force. Im hoping that since ive strayed the past 2 weeks, that my system will be re-shocked into whats going on, and see the results I want!

Anyways, yesterday my co-worker, workout buddy, and slowly becomming one of my best friends, David, and I decided to go and get Easter picture with the bunny. We have to get them retaken today since the digital disk they gave me was blank... but This is me at 308 lbs, 62 less than the christmas photo above... This is me, a guy who went and bought new pants yesterday for the first time in 2 years, and had to get a size 44 because the 46's were to big. Thats right, 10 pants sizes.

44? I havent worn 44s since High school. My football pants senior year were 52's.... so Im excited to say the least...

I dont know if you can see the difference, I have trouble myself.

But The point is, I am motivated, determined, and I will finish.

The goal has been set, and imagery is in place, the Support is surrounding me.

This isnt over till the fat lady, i mean, freeze, is singing.

And there will never be a Fat Freeze again.

Thats right.... Its NEVER over.

Love life, and until next time

May 1st approaches!

And as it does, I feel its time to step it up to a new level of pain. I HATE cardio, but I need MORE! The results I have gotten just arent enough anymore!

Yeh, its great to hear people saying "wow.. you look great"... and I drink it down and love it. However, its only motivation to push harder!

I cant wait to see the expressions on faces when the new me is finally revealed!

Keep up the good work, followers. Those that are wanting to join the journey, DO IT!

I'll start on Monday...

Yea ok, sure you will. The most notorious line in the world of "getting healthy". Someone feels the little jittery feeling of "wow... i can do this.. im motivated. I cant wait to start on Monday." And then monday comes around, then weds, then its 3 months later and you wonder why you are more unhealthy. I myself did this for years. 23 of them in fact. Of always gettin pumped and excited about quitting soda, or eating better, or going to the gym, or what have you. ALWAYS id say "sweet, ill start on monday." And i never did, until this time. And what did it take? To stop being a wuss, for lack of better words. To make a descision. To decide and say yes. To not accept failure, and to do. And as cliche as it sounds... thats the absolute truth. Be motivated, by anything. But be motivated by yourself first. No one is going to change you but you. No one is going to make you better, but you. As our saying goes... To be better, you have to get better, to get better, you have to want to! Until Next time -Freeze

New Post. Key word: Discipline.

Just because I havent blogged doesnt mean I havent been working hard!

A few things this week have thrown me off the blogging course, but not the diet and gym course, so Im all good :)

New Hire along with childish, immature rumor starters had my week a little off, but we're back now and for the record, doing wonderful!

I would like to start by saying the one thing that has probably been the staple in this whol process so far is the Discipline.

My step mother commented on it at dinner the other night. For those of you who dont know, my father, step mom and brother live in the Phillipines. They came into town this past week, and having not seen them in a couple years, I went out to eat dinner with them twice this week. Thats the ONLY cheating I did. and trust me, I felt like poo the day after.

Either way, we were talking, and they were asking me what ive been doing, ect (since they dont read my blog... lame) And I started explaining everything. How I have alarms set on my phone for every meal, ect. And she said "wow.. you are really disciplined."

And I started thinking about what made THIS time different from everyother "attempt" to lose weight before, in my life, was.

And the difference was Discipline. I never before had enough of it to eat properly, at right times, ect. Never had enough of it to be in the gym everyday. Never, ever, was I disciplined ENOUGH.

So, my thoughts on this are, the real secret to success in ANYTHING you want to do (such as quitting smoking, which I am going to do THIS month); then all it takes is a little discipline.

Or alot, in some cases. But the point remains the same.

Today im hitting the gym hard doing arms AND core, and cardio. Going to to bust my ass in punishment for dinner friday night with the family, create a nice Afterburn affect and get it done.

Until next time

Weigh in, Tape day, and well, Im surprised!!

Like ive said in previous Blogs recently, I honestly didnt think I had lost any weight. Having been lifting in a style of mass building the first half of the month, paired with eating wrong (albeit, still "healthier"), I just began adding the intense cardio and eating better that week before my Rush Hour. Actually, only the eating part. It wasnt until the Rush hour not even 2 weeks ago that I started doing cardio better.

And the day I went to do the Rush Hour I weighed in at like 326 on their scale. (326.5 on mine)

Anywhoo.... Lets start with the measurements, now after measuring today, Ive realized that most of them are kind of meaningless, because their areas that dont really show growth or loss (like calves, biceps, thighs) So Im only going to be talking about a few from here on out.

It will be Body area/march 1st measurement/ april 1st (todays) measurement/difference.

Body area March 1st Today(April 1st) Difference
Neck 19.25 18.7 .55 inches
Chest 51.75 50 1.75 inches
Bellybutton 56 52.5! 3.5inches
Waist(pants) 48 47 1 inch

So by measurement, ive definitely seen some changes.

Now weight wise.
March 1st I weighed in at 327.2lbs. The day of my rush hour I was 326. So you can see why I was slightly discouraged, and nervous about the weigh in today... Anyways I was surprised when I saw

Thats right, 311.2! Which is 16lbs down from March 1st, and a total loss of 58.8lbs... not too shabby.

But what Ive realized most, is that I really need to step it up the next few months to get to my goal. Over half way there! (at least, until my 100lbs mark, but after that I willll NOT be done!)

Anyways, tomorrow Im going to have my roommate Matt take pics again, although Idk how different it will look from the last few he took.

And I have now realized that by the end of this month, if I can get under 300, that I will be under 300 for the first time since I was in Highschool in 2005/2006! Rediculous!

Anyways Thanks for staying awesome, and supportive!
Yours

Tomorrow, Tomorrow... oh snap!

Well as the title would suggest, im uber pumped about tomorrow. Weighing in the morning, measuring as well.

I just hope the scale shocks me and tells me more than I think (which is about 0lbs lost).

I guess we shall see, yeh?

Anyways today was shoulder. I think the only difference today was my inclined bench. I did 20lbs 3 sets, 30 reps, 40 reps, 30 reps.

Seth happened to join me as I was finishing up seating incline bench, and I got him in on the fun. Of course, hes skinny as hell and is trying to build mass, so he is doing things ALOT differently than I. Nate has already sat down with him and got him on a new diet, so all he has to do is WORK IT OUT!

Anywhoo. Im going to bed soon, ready for tomorrow.
